Lesedi Cultural Village is located in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set in the lush African bushveld on the outskirts of Johannesburg, Lesedi offers a unique perspective on the beliefs, folklore and traditional way of life of five different cultural groups in South Africa.

Tour itinerary
Pick-up and drive to the Cradle of Humankind
After pick-ups we drive to Lesedi Cultural Village in the world-famous Cradle of Humankind, north of Johannesburg — about a 35 to 45 minute drive from the city.
Guided tour of five villages
On arrival you are taken on a guided tour of five different traditional villages, depicting the way of life of the Xhosa, Zulu, Pedi, Basotho and Ndebele communities. You are treated to an energetic song and dance show and animated tales told by the people of Lesedi — and you are encouraged to join in the dancing.
African feast at Nyama Choma
After the show, enjoy a delicious meal at Nyama Choma restaurant and sample authentic African cuisine. There is an extensive choice of dishes on the menu, including crocodile and ostrich, across three themed areas: North Africa, East Africa and South Africa. Your guide then drives you back to the city.
